If you have the date and this is from the Herald-Sun, couldn't they provide the caption of where and who they are from their archives?

I scan these from negatives, and not every negative was printed in the paper. There were ~15-20 pictures shot on this particular shoot, all over the city. The ID on the sheaf was "Snow Pictures." Often these type of shots, even if printed, don't necessarily mention the street or address.

I wasn't able to get complete certitude on this (my source is 88 years old and, according to his daughter, sometimes a little forgetful) but she said that he said that the house was familiar to him. He said that it used to be located on Buchanan but was moved to Urban to make room for a parking lot that was to be created on Buchanan.

Do I win The Prize? :-)
