Contest starts today!
First poster is up, and the clues begin imminently - a quick review of the game (slightly revised)
1) A new poster goes up on a place each day
2) Go find the poster (if you can) to find the url / QR code with a preview of Open Durham for that location
2) Email me your answer that day (there is an email link on here, or use facebook.)
3) I'll post the answer the following day, along with clues for a new location.
4) I'll keep track of who has all of the right answers, and you'll get an "Erudite Durmite" Open Durham button.
Let's.. get... ready... to... , um, ruminate?

Um, call me stupid, but I still don't get this. Are you saying that there is a physical poster (real paper, not a cyber-poster in the cloud) on a real physical building, and I'm supposed to run around Durham every day for the next two weeks looking for them?

Yes, an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper will be on each new place each day. The only thing it's supposed to be is fun, so if that sounds un-fun to you, you are welcome to just guess without finding the poster. Or not.

Okay, so the building has to still be there, even if it is no longer a restaurant. Correct?
I tried to pick mostly ones where the building was still there - there are a couple where it isn't, but only ~2.

That's what I didn't get. If the building isn't there, where did you put the poster? On the new megalith?
In a parking space? In the left turn lane? In the weeds? 'Cause most of the stuff torn down in Durham got turned into a) government or private fortresses, b) parking lots, c) loops, highways, or manically widened roads, and d) urban wilderness.
Except for the Washington Duke Hotel which was turned into Kalkhof's Bull in the midst of a parking lot.
Today's is definitely on a building. Or at least it was first thing this morning. For the couple that aren't, there are surfaces for me to attach the posters to. (No, not the parking lot asphalt.)
